It is a feeling which can be guided like other emotions by the decisions we make
Both. A lot of people I talk to say that you cannot fight love, that it is uncontrollable. However, I beg to differ. Love is a chemical reaction in your brain just like any other sentiment, but I believe we have control over our feelings. A lot of people are just too weak to them.

That's not to say controlling your feelings doesn't hurt, but you do have control over them. You may still feel those feelings, but you can choose to act on them or not.

Thats true acting on feelings is one thing, but there's still that internal struggle and turmoil (or positive stuff, depending on your mood)

That's what I meant. It's normal to feel and have that struggle, but anyone who says they can't control their feelings (to the point where they have no power over whether they act on them or not) is a liar. xD
Love is a feeling, what you do with it is your decision. You can love someone and not act upon it, you can love someone and let them go or you can love someone and stay with them forever. The feeling can't be chosen, you can't decide to love someone. But once you feel it, you need to decide what to do with it. Love is the feeling. What you do with your love is all your choice.
