A New Zealand Beach

This is a pic of one of our beaches, don't know where exactly.

It's iron sand (volcanic), that's why it's black.

Here's a pic of 90 mile beach. Note, it's not actually 90miles long, but just under 90 kilometers, (88 to be exact).

I like how it breaks off the mainland like that and there is a little river inside.

LOL. You have got to come to NZ sometime. It's one of the very few places on Earth that you have to see before you die.

If you saw teh David Letterman show when our Prime Minister was one, the number 5 reason to visit NZ was “Get the whanau together, stay in a bach, crack open the chilly bin and slap on your jandals” - decipher that and you were probably born here.

Heh I have a friend who comes from NZ, she calls them jandals too. Chilly bin...eski cooler of sorts? Whanau...get the group together, the gang together, the something together. Stay in a bach...beach batch something something. Argh.



Black sand looks awesome. Must go see.

That's what they said about Israel and Egypt....but I didn't see the hype when I visited!!! But I am pretty sure I will visit New Zealand with the Navy sometime throughout my career.

Oh hey, BreakGuy if New Zealand isn't as great as you say it should be...imma come back here and give you something serious.
