As far as I know, I never did post this here. And to be honest, I hadn't really thought about this one shot until now.
I wrote this years ago for a contest on some Design site.
A Star Gazed Chaos
All characters and places are mine. The name Sidewinders does not belong to me but the characters in it are mine. Also like to point out that David Shinsaki and Kaira Shinsaki, along with Ryu are not mine either.

Location:
Planet Balak of the Mosoric System
Another day was about to begin for Zackaria as he woke up and prepared to get ready for work. In many ways he was like his father the war hero who died 50 years ago during an explosion that had silver laced within. It was hard being in the shadow of his father Lyconus, but he was able to deal with it and even though he was well over the age of 200, he was still a hit with ladies. Zackaria was fortunate enough to hold the position of Commander of the United Forces and had received a few medals thanks to his quick thinking during battles with the enemy. As he walked through the house looking around for spare change he began to notice or well smell the faint aroma of food being cooked in his kitchen.
Slowly he walked into the kitchen to find out who it was only to become surprised by the sight. ââ¬ÅHey Z-Man!! A burly figure spoke excitedly while he continued to cook.
Zackaria was dumbfounded by the sight of the man whom he thought was dead. ââ¬ÅH-how can it be?? You died 25 years agoââ¬Â¦Ã¢â¬Â
The man stopped what he was doing to look over at Zackaria. ââ¬ÅYeah, I know I died, but the higher upââ¬â¢s decided to bring me back to life a few years back for some greater purpose involving you.ââ¬Â He said it in a serious tone as he turned back to his cooking. ââ¬ÅAlso donââ¬â¢t bother in goinââ¬â¢ to work.ââ¬Â
Zack was a bit confused by it all as he tried to process the small piece of information he was given by his friend. ââ¬ÅAnd why exactly should I not go to work Forrester?ââ¬Â Zackaria asked as he walked over to the fridge to get something to drink. At times like this he wish he was in a pub getting drunk until 3 in the morning and getting lucky with bar maids or getting thrown out for starting a fight.
ââ¬ÅBecause last night it was blown up on accident by the Sidewinders.ââ¬Â Forrester replied while barely containing his laughter at what happened. He tried to contain it while focusing on his cooking but gave up. Zackaria growled in frustration and walked over to the table and pulled out a chair to sit on. He was secretly glad that the place he worked for was destroyed because he hated it. ââ¬ÅLets gather up the Sidewinders and the G-Nine Crew and go after the new enemy that started the new war.ââ¬Â Zackaria said as an afterthought.
Forrester just stared at him as he finally finished cooking. ââ¬ÅAre you serious Z-Man?ââ¬Â He asked him in a disbelieving tone. For as long as he knew Zackaria, he had never really seen him as a leader like his father was, but more of a loner and a ladies man. He had gotten to meet Zackariaââ¬â¢s father only once and that was 2 days before he died. Zackaria looked over at him and he nodded without a smirk and stood up and retreated to his room to gather some weapons and his fatherââ¬â¢s sword. As he picked it up, he felt a surge of energy and strength come through him and he smiled.
2 hours later:
The Sidewinders and the G-Nine Crew were all gathered in the back yard at Zackariaââ¬â¢s house so that they could talk and decide on strategies to use against the new enemy. Both groups were well known for their actions as well as the leaders that led the two groups. Currently leading the Sidewinders was the great-great-grandson of David Shinsaki and Kaira Shinsaki, his name was Manny and had a love for poetry and would recite some during a battle. The leader of the G-Nine Crew was none other then Zackaria. Some of the original members still were with the group because they were Lycans. ââ¬ÅWe are gathered here today as most of you know to put an end to the new enemy, The Star Wraiths.ââ¬Â Zackaria said with a tone of eeriness.
ââ¬ÅYeah, we know that boss, and what we need to do is launch a couple of Molotovs at them and we win.ââ¬Â A beautiful woman who, was the great-grand daughter of Ryu the dragoon, spoke out jokingly and earned a few laughs.
ââ¬ÅI wish we could do that but sadly we canââ¬â¢t.ââ¬Â Both Zackaria and Forrester said with disappointment laced in their voices. It had been a sad ending to when Ryu had been killed in a brutal fashion by a hunter right in front of both groups and his wife and 2 children. Revenge had been extracted but they knew it would not bring him back and it remained as a heavy burden in their hearts and as for Ryuââ¬â¢s family, it gave them a burning hatred for all hunters and they would kill one as soon as they would look at one. ââ¬ÅThere is a base located on the Dicard continent south of this continent that belongs to the Star Wraiths and that is where we will hit them and we will hit hard.ââ¬Â Forrester said with conviction and no one would ask him how he knew it.
ââ¬ÅAll in favor of going and doing much ass kickery?ââ¬Â Markus a long time member of the G-Nine Crew and a lycan said with a smirk.
All raised their hands and it was decided that they had there immediately. They all got into their transportation units and headed to the nearest military docking base. Once they arrived they went straight to the Admiralââ¬â¢s office to ask for a ship and to let them know of what they are planning to do. At first the Admiral couldnââ¬â¢t believe what he was hearing and was thinking of having them hauled off to the brig, but he knew who they were and it was hard not too know who they were in the military world. ââ¬ÅAlright, alright, you got your boat so get out of here and you know where to look for it.ââ¬Â He told them with a smile and secretly was glad they were the ones going off and dealing with the Star Wraiths.
They thanked him and headed out to the dock and found the boat that would make any man pee in his pants. Soon they boarded the boat and headed out to where the enemy was located.
3 hours later:
After getting there safely and sneaking into the building, they found the main control room and set the bombs so that the place could be destroyed. All was seemingly going as planned until a guard caught them and radioed for backup and soon after that a bloody battle had erupted and the fight to make it out alive began. As the battle was waged on the planet, a large circular ship which was the shape of a planet began to descend upon the planet and it brought about ultimate doom. Zackaria who had ran out of ammo was now using magic and felt something was coming and it was something of great evil. ââ¬ÅGuys we need to get out of here fast and up into space.ââ¬Â He yelled out over the noise as one of the Sidewinders was hit and unfortunately so was Zackaria but he just groaned and continued to return fire with magic.
The others didnââ¬â¢t question this for they too felt the great evil approaching. Some of the Lycans got brave and transformed into their wolf forms and charged down the hallway. 8 had gone down it, and 2 had survived. Forrester said a silent prayer for the lost souls and marched into the near empty hall way and began to fire at the enemy. The Star Wraiths were a proud race that wore black cloaks and believed that true peace was one of death. One touch from them to another being resulted in either dreaded fear or death. It was something no one would wish on even the cruelest being. You couldnââ¬â¢t see a Wraithââ¬â¢s face and nor could you hear them speak, for they spoke telepathically. After a few minutes, Forrester came in face to face with a Star Wraith and before he could act, the life was sucked out of him and he fell a crumpled heap to the floor while the others looked on in fear. Having become enraged by this Zackaria began the change to his lycan form. As his insides shifted and bones were either shortened or enlarged, his nails grew longer and his skin turned a dark blue as his snout began to grow and his teeth became razor edged and his eyes a dark pitch black. Soon he was in his form with shredded clothing on him and he charged down the hallway and went for a death kill at the Star Wraith, with one bite from his teeth and a strong jerk, the Wraith crumbled to dust and the others cheered and followed him out of the compound and into the now dark world. They began to make their way towards their ride until Markus noticed something in the sky and yelled for them to look.
Zackaria was the first to look up in his lycan form and whimpered for he knew what it was that was there, he had heard the stories of how they came and destroyed a planet and moved on. Giant comet like things fell from the sky with fire behind them and crashed into the ground on the continent where Zackaria had lived and worked at. Explosions could be heard and the scene was bright with light. ââ¬ÅWE SHALL DIE WITH HONOR AND MAY WE BE REMEMBERED FOR YEARS TO COME IN THIS SYSTEM AND OTHERS AS WELL AS THE HOME PLANET EARTH!!ââ¬Â The Great-grand daughter of Ryu, whoââ¬â¢s name was Kelana yelled out in a near triumphant voice and was now visibly crying. The others nodded as the Star Wraith planet ship hovered in space and seemed to be so close to them as well. Zackaria and the Lycans from both groups who were now in their wolf forms all howled a mournful lament until they could no longer do soââ¬Â¦
