A vast fireball has been caught on camera after a train carrying crude oil derailed in the US state of West Virginia

You wouldn't have this problem if a train loaded with Solar Panels derailed.

Tom, Jasane, Kevin, they didn't listen!

Alan Donaghue Fraser Black

looks nothing like an atomic bomb

Dude, why are your posts so negative and pro-oil... That's only because oil is our current standard, and not only that but companies make us rely on it. Once we migrate into a renewable age oil can slowly be left.

what are your thoughts?

is oil safe?

is building homes by train tracks stupid?

and building train tracks by homes...

How many trains carry how many gallons of oil across the nation every day, every month, every year and every decade? Now how many accidents have happened in those time periods? How many people have died in those time periods? My guess is the numbers on this will be very low on just how much oil is being shipped across the country compared to accidents and deaths. Pipelines would be safer and more efficient but do not see a large concern with trains shipping oil.

And you would not have a train even moving in the first place if we were depending on solar panels for everything. Much less any other large forms of transportation.

a world without oil is not a fantasy @liberty...

oil is still around majorly still is due to greed and control...

A world w/out oil?
Won't happen in any of our lifetimes, Justice....

It is a fantasy for at least a 100 or 200 years that oil will be replaced. But you can be the first to give up everything and anything that was produced by oil. Let me know when solar panels can fly a jumbo jet full of passengers thousands of miles and then alternative energy is here for replacement of oil.

It is here because it is the most efficient form of energy that makes the world turn.

actually, there's already planes and buses and cars and helicopters and boats that don't rely on oil as it's power source @"true liberty" so there...

the only reason why oil is still huge and dominant is due to greed and elites that keep it like that...

facts...

I didn't just say some empty of people planes made out of materials so light and delicate it couldn't possibly carry people for long distances. I said jumbo jets carrying hundreds of people. Or military transports carrying tanks and thousands of pounds of cargo. Now if you were talking about with solar panels attached to those kinds of planes please show me some of those. Or maybe when you wrote boats you have proof of ships like cruise liners that carry 10,000 passengers run on solar panels?

Again gas is still here because it is the most efficient means of providing energy for the world. NOTHING else comes close yet with its level of safety to use it.

not really because military ships and subs uses nuclear power as it's main/only energy source, not oil/gas...

also, there's other ways and means of power sources besides oil/gas for anything and everything, but like i said, the elites want oil/gas to be profitable for another 50 to 100 years...

I am all for nuclear energy and would love to see it used in every city in America. But I very clearly said safe energy in that statement above because the left hates nuclear energy. And oil is safer and you still cant use nuclear energy for aircrafts.

Still do not see any solar power in any of those links that could do what I mentioned above.

who said only solar power?

and who said only nuclear power? :|

i said there's other ways and means besides oil/gas as the main energy source, you then told me i were wrong, so i showed you in many ways that there's other ways besides oil/gas...

and i'm sure there's ways and means that solar power could be used in vehicles because i'm sure it's already happened...

you're just denying the facts i'm putting forth...

And when the free market supports them, they will prosper, not before...and certainly not while the government subsidizes them.

haha, the government doesn't subsidize it all, yes, home owners can get a government grant to get a solar panel on their roof, but i'm talking about the technology is here already and been here...

the only real reason why oil/gas is still popular is because the elites keep it popular and in demand by doing anything in their power to keep the competition at a minimal...

BINGO! And as of right now there is nothing that can do all the things oil can do or as effeciently and safely. It will come but as of right now it's not even close.

No it is not. As of right now there is nothing even close to ready to replace everything oil and coal can do. Some can do some of this but can't do some of that. And the ones that can do some of that still can't do it as good as oil and coal. And if they could by tomorrow it will take trillions of dollars and half a century for a planet to do so that would bankrupt countries.

Oil has been proven to be a renewable resource so there is no need to rush this because the new technology will come in several generations from now. And since global warming is a proven complete hoax no need to ruin economies pushing crappy new technology that is not ready.

no, new technology is here and been here...

the big oil/gas companies and people like you keep new technology from spreading because their dumb love for oil and money...
