I mean that Christianity was not in existence before the New Testament period; so, the books of the Old Testament are a collection of some of the history leading up to the beginning of Christianity.
I think the point is conceded that Judaism would allow for abortion. Restricting by law a Jewish person to waiver from their faith would be against separation of (US) religion from government, and thus abortion should not have restrictions in the US under the constitution. OR... okay there's more points to be made in a different thread on a different day.
