Ive was banned on a forum a while back because the person was having problems with a friend of mine. Banned by association is a major abuse of power. I didn't even violate any of their rules. Oh well, their loss.

I won a cash posting contest on another forum and I waited 3 months to get paid. I kept asking the Admin when I might get my money. The Admin wouldn't reply back to me even though he was online every day. A member started a thread asking me if I got my money. I replied that I didn't receive it yet. The thread started getting member replies asking why I didn't get paid and they also posted the contest was a fraud. A staff member posted in that thread that I was causing trouble and told me to stop replying. I defended myself by replying back to his remark. He gave me a 48 hour ban to cool off. When members saw that I was banned (they didn't know it was for only 48 hours), they all PM'd this staff member asking why. The staff member lifted the ban and PM'd me that he didn't handle the situation very well and told me that it was fine to start a thread in the feedback section about the contest. Well, every thread I made was immediately closed. The staff member offered to pay me out of his own pocket just to make this issue go away. I took the money and thought that was the end of it. I went back to posting on the forum and my threads kept getting closed. I had enough and left. This staff member found out that I joined another forum. He joined too and saw a thread I created about a forum that was only showing 3 new posts a day and immediately went into attack mode thinking I was talking about his forum. He sent a PM to Admin that contained nothing but lies about me. His hope was that I would get banned. Little did he know that the Admin was a friend of mine and didn't believe a word he said. As a matter of fact, this Admin was also a member of the same forum that I had left. I emailed the staff member and told him to leave me alone and if he kept spreading lies, I would sue him for slander. He wound up banning not only me but my Admin friend too who had done nothing wrong on his forum.

Several staff members on the forum I mentioned above all abuse their powers. They post comments to bait members they don't like hoping that those members will post a reply that they can either infract or ban them for. They also just post to each other and ignore the replies of members they don't like. They have lost all of their Top Posters because of this. They didn't like me and called me an attention whore because I posted too much.

I have been banned from a few forums because the admins are power hungry arses!



Also recently I was demoted from a mod position the admin made up loads of lame excuses like the people on my forum would like to see more of me.. :/ I have more than enough time.

This person also got all the mods on his side, He admitted to training up lower mods and then demoted me.. While I was away. And also said that I had said I only wanted to be mod till they got suitable moderators... Now why the hell would I say something like that?!



I don't want to be treated like crap and once you've ****ed me over like that I sure as hell ain't going back.

Pretty sad that this person would not only mistreat you on his own forum but also try to ruin your relationships with other people & forums on the internet. A very corrupt individual indeed.

It's just sad to think that there are sickos like that out there who apparently have nothing better to do with their time rather than spreading lies and rumors about people. They should be picking up something a bit more constructive to do instead.

I was abused on this one forum I won't say which for lying about my gender? I had a good laugh at left.. I never admitted what gender I was.. I am a male but when they finally asked me they banned me for lying..? It really made no sense at all I never said I was a girl..

There are loads of nice forums out there though, not all are bad!

What I say is that when registering at a forum, you're accepting the rules set out by the OWNER. Once you've violated those rules, rarely is there such a thing as an abuse of power. But if you haven't violated any rules, then there obviously is scope.
