Admins who for look for trouble

I find this so annoying and makes me just want to say 'you know what stuff your forum'



I made a simple comment on another music forum and the admin 1. doesnt want any of my suggestion and 2. he's trying to make it look like I am causing a scene!

Seen this many times. Some people don’t like to take feedback and turn it into arguments. Even if the community is all on board with the idea, they will try to do everything in their power to make it look like a bad idea... After a while they will just get fed up and lock the topic.

Just because someone else thought of a good idea, doesn’t mean it’s a blow to your ego or competence as an admin.

I have never done this whenever I ran HM Universe. I always listened to members and never argued with 'em. I really loved how they'd submit ideas I've never even thought of.

That's the nicest thing about feedback. I know one time, can't remember if it was my current forum or another one I had, someone suggested something and I'm sitting here thinking, oh, I have never thought of that! So that is always nice to hear feedback about things that have never even crossed your mind.

I found that most feedback forums are nothing more then a place where you post what you want and the staff show you how you can live without it. There is nothing like getting suspended for posting feedback in the feedback forum as that's happened to me before. lol

Yeah, that got me to. Like you said in your post on the forum, he was making sound like you were some kind of troublemaker who always gets infractions and is always banned for something or other. Now I for one, know you are not like that.



I also know that I am not one of the ones who is strict on feedback. Yes, if I am absolutely against an idea, I will say it, but not rudely like that administrator did. I would say something like, you know, while I really like the sound of your idea, I just don't think it'll fit into this forum, therefore it is not needed and I will probably say why I think that. Of course, in some cases, I will gladly give in and add whatever it is the members want added, as long as it's within reason, of course.

But in this case maybe it was a rock n roll site strictly and there was no room for other stuff, they wanted to keep it rock and roll only.



On the other hand sometimes I don't like it either. I like suggestions, but some are just no good.



People keep saying tone down the categories. But I don't want to tone it down. I want to discuss a lot of stuff and can't live with only 2 or 3 topics. So I have 6 categoreis and 3 boards each so 18 boards total.



That is too much for most people. But I want a large site. I hate small ones. So I hate it when nobody listens and I have to argue. I can't afford to tone anything down or there won't be anything to discuss or much of a site for that matter.
