I know that media has to generate income, but there is something sick about clicking on a news story video and then having to watch some happy commercial before seeing the serious if not deadly issue being reported.

Does that sometimes bother others as well?

Oh yeah.

And what is worse is when the ad works just fine on a news site, and then when it comes time for the news clip, you get some sort of error.

OR!

When you go to a news site, and you can't read the story AT ALL until their idiot video loads.

(don't you love it when there is an ad with sound on the side and it talks over the news story?)

Even worse is Yahoo news "slide shows" those damned things seem to never work first time, and if it does start to work, its a good bet it'll fail where they inserted a commercial into it.

That is almost the rule Youtube where there's times that the failure rate is about 50%, except for the ads that always work.

Ads before vids bother me big time. I just mute them and wait for my video to start. Very annoying, especially when they make you watch the whole thing. Sometimes I click off of the site entirely so it is the websites loss, really.
