So now that I have the time and resources I'm finally getting setup to start streaming twitch channel. I've got a webcam, I've got a decent gaming PC, I've got a greenscreen and lighting setup.
So my question is there. What games are a good place to start for building viewership? What sorts of things do you think would do better than others? Honestly I'd love any advice I can get.

That is something I personally don't have experience with but most forums with an advertisement section will allow you to post a thread about a twitch channel. Maybe you could create social media pages for your twitch channel on all the different platforms and follow / interact with as many people as you can.

I'd say the biggest thing is not to give up too easily. The market is definitely oversaturated and it will be tough getting it off the ground and getting viewers right away so you've gotta just work at it and stay consistent. As far as games, I'd say see what's popular and then do something you genuinely like/want to play. It's easy to tell the difference between somebody having fun playing something they genuinely enjoy versus just playing whatever is popular and will get them views.

No advice. I wouldn't know the first thing about how to be successful on it. Best of luck to you.

I've been poking around twitch trying stuff out. They actually have a feature that lets you see if a game is currently popular on twitch or not. It's pretty cool.

You think if you play the most popular games, you'll increase your views?

That's the idea, but it's also about time of day.

Let us know how it goes :D
