I've had several people come to me for advice. I don't really give them advice. I give them my opinion as to what I would do in their situation. It's up to them if they agree or disagree with my opinion. Like Smooth, I will stick it out until they have solved whatever it was they came to me for. I find a lot of times people aren't really seeking advice. They are seeking a person who will let them vent and not judge them for doing so.
I don't really have enough life experience to give advice
So I tend to just lend my support/an ear to listen.
