Do you have any friends who are much older or younger than you? Is age important in a friendship?

Yes, older (some friends in their late 60s, early 70s) and younger (one friend is 19), and no, age isn't important. I can't remember who said it, but there's a quote that says "age is a question of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter." Sums it up perfectly.

Friends? Good sir, I have no friends of any age, gender, religious believes or any other measurable standards. I can assure you.

I've had friends who were over a decade older than myself, and I've been friends with people 5+ years younger than myself. I don't really care what age someone is when it comes to friendships with other adults. If you get along, you get along. Age doesn't really need to come into it.

I have friends that are 10 years younger then me age is nothing when it comes to friendship.

If you count co-workers, I have some friends that are 20 years older than me and some that are 15 years younger than me. No biggie.

I've had friends who were around 4 or 5 years younger than myself, none that are older however. I tend to get along better with younger people, and I've been this way since I was a kid. All my childhood friends were about 2 years younger than me, with the exception of one or two who happened to be my age.

I've had a few elderly acquaintances that I talked to enough that it was like we were friends. I've actually always been better at talking to older people than people around my age, so the age gap does not really bother me one bit.
