Does anyone else find that when you go out with a specific purpose and actually make yourself look good you have a clean run without seeing anyone you know. Also, that this comes in contrast to whenever you go out first thing in the morning for a quick grocery shop and look, like absolute crap - and also probably stink like a sweaty Rhino you bump into every Tom, Dick and Harry who's ever known you. :/

I have two examples in the last two days.

Today, quick grocery shop. Run into a family friend and meet their husband for the first time. (Yep. Under great circumstances, ain't it?)
Yesterday, went out looking schmick and ran into something and spilled coffee all over myself. Then ran into someone.*

*This one is pretty interesting actually. :P

Thoughts?

Hahaha, no. Then again, I live in a city with 600k people in it, so unless I visited those specific places I knew my friends and family or co-workers shopped at/visited, I tend not to run into them much. However, I do run into people AT work, like people I've known in my life and haven't seen in a while, but only because where I work is closer to where I used to live, which was a smaller town. Now that I'm back in the city, it's not often I run into people I know. And I live within 7-10 minutes of my older brother and my cousin. xD

Do you live in a relatively smaller town or do you live in a bigger city?

I live in a city of 4.3 million.
Though, I'm in the suburbs.

It's easier to run into people in the suburbs. In the heart of the city, it's a little different. There are a mix of residents, travelers/tourists, people coming in from the outlying areas, people commuting in and out for work and whatnot.

People always pop up at the WRONG time, yes. Its kind of funny actually.
