An amputee has become an internet star after building a prosthetic leg out of Lego bricks.

Christina Stevens, from St Louis, Missouri, lost part of her leg earlier this year when her foot was crushed while she changed the brakes on her car, reports The Metro.

But now the occupational therapist is an internet phenomenon after posting a video which shows her constructing a leg from the toy, which a work colleague suggested as a joke.

Ms Stevens, 31, published the video last month on YouTube, where it's been viewed almost a million times.

Perhaps she should glue the pieces together.
