Fact: dog and cat saliva carries a flesh eating bacteria.

Many kinds of bacteria (germs) called Capnocytophaga live in the mouths of dogs and cats. These germs do not make dogs or cats sick. Rarely, Capnocytophaga germs can spread to people through bites, scratches, or close contact from a dog or cat and may cause illness, including sepsis.

I THINK that the same holds true for tabby cats (domestic).

Had a 'shop cat' & every time I looked her in the face all that came to mind was "worry" because of her facial stripes. So....that turned out to be her name. :LOL:

With the exception of the M. Balfouri, Female tarantulas eat the male after mating.
