Should it be illegal to use animals for sports and entertainment? Legal but with harsher rules?

What do you about animals being used for entertainment purposes?

I watched this interesting documentary on Netflix recently about killer whales used in theme parks.
Made me feel bad for going to see the show's I've seen. :-/

I don't think using animals for entertainment is bad it just depends on the way they treat the animals to me.

Do you think most animals are treated fairly or unfairly, in general?

There are some serious issues with the "Blackfish" film.

It was obviously a hatchet piece aimed at Sea World from the outset, and some of the material in it may not be strictly accurate.

However, it has raised some important issues that do need to be addressed.

As for my personal opinion of the animals used in entertainment, I don't care either way, but it is wrong to mistreat the ones so used.

I believe there was a thread in the "animal section" about animals being injured or killed in the production of several recent movies.

Yeah it was very very very anti Sea World. There are several other parks that have killer whales that weren't exposed in the documentary.

I think MOST animals are really treated unfairly but that doesn't count for all animals because I've seen animals been treated very well and fairly.

As long as they're treated all right, everything's fine. But...

Yes.
...when they're not, like the examples in that thread, and the organisations meant to ensure the well being of said animals fail because of bribery and the like, it seems like maybe CGI should just be enforced.
