It's irritating when you want to enjoy a movie, that you paid $10+ to see, only to be ruined by small children making noises because they are cranky and don't have the attention span to sit quietly through an entire movie. The blame falls on the parents for bringing them to the theater in the first place. Why should we be punished for their inconsideration?

Do you think movie theaters should set a limit on when kids can be brought to the movie theater? Like (for example) no children under 5 allowed after 5pm?

What movies are you going to, Nebulous?

What with it being quite common for both parents to work these days, that might make it very hard for a family to enjoy a movie together (in a cinema).

Are you assuming children are only taken to children's movies? You'd be surprised at the amount of young children being dragged to 'R' rated movies by their parents.

I was IDed last time I went to an 16+ movie and I remember my little brother getting IDed when we went to a 12+ one in that past. I believe cinemas here are pretty thorough about checking people's ages.

Here, a child of any age can see any movie if the parent is accompanying them.

It used to be like that here. I don't see why you'd take a 5-year-old to see a 16+ movie though.
