Anonymous Staff?

Have you ever thought about having anonymous staff? As in, they look like a regular member but they secretly have staff powers and report their findings back to the administration.

Kind of like a 'secret shopper' but on a forum.

Sometimes people act differently when a staff member is replying to a thread.

Do you think having an anonymous staff member would help out or it doesn't matter?

I was in a Facebook group that had anonymous staff that was working round the clock. It was a shocker the first time everyone found out about the staff working on the Facebook group.

I don't think this would work out on a forum because they second they start using their moderator tools, they'll be outed to the community.
