Anybody know of Last.fm?

I went out with my compeer tonight and he recommended me a website to visit:

He told me that it's a website related to music, that you put in your music preferences and it gives you a playlist based on your recommendations.



I just got home about 20 minutes ago and just 5 minutes ago created the account (profile).



I'm just curious if there is anybody out there who uses it (or has used it).



I need some guidance into how to navigate the website.

Very simple website to use. I have been a member since 2005.



Don't know about you but i'm finding the site incredably slow :/
