I heard this on the news days ago, and the thing itself is just a larger version of the iPhone. Nothing special really, and I definitely will not be getting it.

From what I have read in the newspaper, it's like a tablet PC, and you can play movies, watch TV, listen to music and stuff like that. But it isn't a phone.



And it doesn't have a camera or USB ports.

And it uses iPhone OS instead of a modified OSX (which I'm sure Apple could have easily done. They just took a shortcut instead).

Bigger iPod Touch that's a good thing.



It's Apple's response to the netbook industry. But don't compare it to a netbook, because it's not a computer, it's a tablet.

Ive seen a lot of people making fun of this thing on TV. Guess its not going over too well. Next time I go to the mall I will see if the Apple store has one to play with.

TECH BUZZ Seems about even, honestly. [Ed Note: Ah, but can you make the iPad skip across water? Probably not. I might just go with the other tablet, assuming the price point is below $500.]
