How do you feel about forums that require approval on your posts before they are shown to the public?

Does that turn you off?

In what situations is this acceptable?

If you are a staff member on a forum, how quickly do you approve posts? If you fail to approve a post, do you let the member know right away?

I am on a couple of forums where they require a couple of people to have posts approved. If I see the approval queue needing to be cleared it's the first thing I do when I get on the forum.

If a post is declined they get a notification.

It's very rare I'll even do mod queue or post approval on anybody or any forum itself.
