Would you consider cartoon TV shows as art?

Which cartoons would you say look the most artistic and have the best animation style?

How could they not be art?

They hire artists and animators to make them all of the time, especially when it comes to anime.

I certainly can't draw or create pictures like that, so yeah, I think it takes a special, innate artistic skill.

If a hand drawn still image is art.....

Then a frame by frame animation of said image would be art.


On the other hand (pun based on current context intended), an AI created CGI may be something a step or two down from that.

The sad thing is anyone with a computer can turn a shitty drawing into a work of art using an AI program. I feel like that's cheating.

I think it depends on how much a computer has been used to create the image.
Using a program simply as a brush and canvas still involves the creative process and is still art.
If it's mostly the computer that has created an image then it is just that, an image.
Some cartoons are brilliant and surely art.
