now retired, but last job had a 10-15 minute commute.

over the years had some nasty commuters. 8 years driving 40-45 miles (each way) from NJ to PA. I remember one day when it started snowing very early in school day. we were dismissed right after lunch. what normally took about 45-5 minutes took almost 3 HOURS... white-knuckle driving. after that, principal knew (and understood) that a forecast with snow in it meant I would be calling out.

another 5 year stint into center city Philly. half of my commute was by car from home to PATCO (high-speed line) and other half was a train ride.

how's your commute?

I actually just walk everywhere.

Can't afford to take the bus nor driving.

For the last 15 years of my working full time I had a short commute, and I went in before most of the traffic was on the road (6 AM) and was on my way home before the afternoon traffic got going, so it only took me five minutes or so to get to work.

A long time ago I had a drive of about an hour, in heavy traffic no matter when you left, with the added attraction of having to sit at a toll booth (this was before EZpass). I didn't like it, and changed jobs as soon as I could.

If you mean commutes to work, it's roughly 10 minutes or less.

Right now, it only takes me about 10 minutes to get to work (I'm usually on the road by 6:20 AM), so not a ton of traffic at that time. Back home, of course, depending on traffic, about 20 minutes. I'm pretty centrally located in a small city, so there's lots of ways for me to get home.

I haven't been a commuter for almost 20 years. Back then it was a 20-ish minute drive.
