Should arranged marriages be outlawed?

Not really much to debate about this one, no, marriage should be between two people that love eachother and chose to get married not two people that were forced to marry one another.

Even though they're a good political move it just isn't acceptable in today's society.

I agree with ^. if we don't want people from other countries telling us how we need to run our lives and what we need to do to make every think better, we need to leave them alone too. I don't approve of arranged marriages, but we need to NOT tell other people how to live their lives.

I'm against it. I know people who are trying to have my siblings thrown into arranged marriages...I just think it's gross. I feel like my parents will do the same for me, but I want to find true love without my parents intervention. Theirs wasn't arranged, so why should mine?
