Arranged marriage/ Love marriage

Hi Friends,

Love marriages are popular in these days, but I have an arranged marriage . First I visited the girls house with my parents, if both of us likes then our elders will talk about dowry and other formalities.

I could never imagine growing up in a culture that actively practices in arranged marriages, and finds them to be appropriate for everyone. While I understand the logic behind it, in that the parents are wiser, older, and should therefore know better what their children need in a spouse, I don't agree with it because parents are constantly wrong about that stuff. If I ever decide to get married, I want to be the one to choose, regardless of whether I know for certain if the person is "right" for me or not.
