Atheists banned from getting married

Terrible law.

I think these lawmakers are hypocrites who preach about "freedom", but in reality, they just want to be the ones doing the oppressing.
America use to be the land of the free but the government over there is ruining the country.

It's not the government, its the citizens of this country. Everything has to be voted on and this is what the people want! We are moving backwards as a society.
I’m from Australia so I’m not sure how much things run over that way but I am sorry you’s are dealing with this right now :(

I do wish society would make right decisions though as a whole.

I'm going to say no. Marriage exists in many religions and cultures. I'm an atheist and I see this as a very offensive, atheophobic, hypocritical, cruel, disgusting, unfair, obtuse bigoted idea.

Seems very wrong to me. Can't possibly be legal.
The article here indicates only that the proposal only had made it through the state house....not that it had become law. Hopefully not.
....
"The bill, which was approved by the Oklahoma state House last week and will now go to the state Senate for consideration, would restrict marriage only to people of faith."

It is an exceptionally absurd, magnificently stupid law. But it is also Oklahoma...

But, is it a law...at this point? Or just another PROPOSED law?

I think we all know that politicians are just goofy.

Proposed at the moment, since it's still making its way through, but that it was even conceived is ridiculous.

Just when I think Oklahoma couldn't get any worse than it is, they try proposing yet another stupid law. Florida IMO is the worst state in the US, but Oklahoma isn't that far behind. xD

As far as laws go, but the people who live there are cool. At least the ones I've met.
