I had $30 basic liability insurance but then I got in an accident and was screwed over having to pay for the repairs on my car myself and it wasn't cheap.
So I decided to go with full coverage in case it happens again (which is highly likely because everyone is on their phones while driving these days), with an at-fault accident on my record my rates went up to $190 for full coverage. Suddenly they want $225 a month? Pass.

Thats the price I should be paying but I have this pesky accident on my record right now. Its crazy how much they penalize you especially when you've had a perfect driving record for over 20 years (and just made one mistake).

Found a better rate with Progressive. $140 a month. $85 cheaper than that $225 rate they wanted to charge me with the old company.
