Avatar vs. Titanic

I admire James Cameron and his work. The Terminator films were great, and Titanic was amazing, sustaining the honor of being the highest grossing film for over a decade, and now it has finally been surpassed by James Cameron's own Avatar.



What is your opinion on this? Do you think Avatar deserved this? Is it better or worse than Titanic?

I never saw Titanic to be honest, although I was born in 93'. Avatar was a fantastic movie though, best I have ever seen. Made me think a lot about things. I went home and wrote and essay putting my thoughts down on paper. A very provocative movie derived from a very common archetype and plot sequence.

Titanic actually made me shed a tear.

Avatar was awesome though!

They are two totally different types of movies though. One is historical / drama and one is like science fiction.

Avatar was alright, i was impressed by the gfx and effects and stuff, but you can't beat titanic.

Avatar, I haven't seen either of them. But Titanic came out when I was little and it sounded boring and disgusting. But Avatar looks awsome.
