The baby koala and his mother were hit by a car in Queensland, Australia, over the weekend.
Lizzy and Phantom were taken in to Australia Zoo where she underwent life-saving surgery to fix a collapsed lung.
Her baby miraculously escaped unscathed – and clung to her the entire time she was operated on.
Lizzy made it through the procedure and is recovering well. Phantom hasn’t left her side since.
