A woman who police said left her dead baby girl in a toilet at a Texas gas station was sentenced to four years behind bars, according to court records.

Diana Guadalupe Zavala Lopez, 27, learned her fate Monday, which marked more than a year-and-a-half after authorities said she abandoned her infant in Houston the morning of April 2, 2023.

Zavala Lopez, who multiple media outlets identified as a Mexican national, appeared before Harris County District Judge Kristin M. Guiney.

Zavala Lopez previously pleaded guilty to a charge of tampering with evidence -- human corpse, the court records noted. She was also credited 489 days served.

I understand some women don't have physical signs, like bigger breasts and stomach, but to say she didn't know is absolute bullshit. Women who try and make this claim are always full of shit. There is a baby inside you, you had to have noticed your body changing in some fashion. Even if you don't have physical signs, your body changes, and you will feel that shit, even if internally.

"She said she 'felt something come out of her and go into the toilet' and flushed it without looking.

So, something came out of your vagina and you're just like "this is normal, stuff plops out of my vag on a daily basis!"

Cases like this made me support antinatalism. What's the whole point of excistence when there is a good chance something like this to happen to if you have stupid and reckless parents.

The sad part is that she'll get all weepy in court, and the judge will let her off with time served, and maybe some counseling, and she'll be free to go out....
