A father lets his young daughter play with a 13ft Burmese python because ‘he wants to prove they’re safe’.

An unsettling video showing 14-month-old Alyssa Guarino rolling around with pet Nay Nay at her Michigan home has been criticised.

YouTube user TechXSoftware wrote: ‘That guy doesn’t get it sadly, she still can be unsafe if left alone with a snake or even a dog, you just don’t know, she’s fine if there is an adult around watching though.’

But dad Jamie Guarino, 34, doesn’t think it’s a big deal and is happy to show people the snakes, which are can kill adults, can be safe around the house.

Thoughts about this father letting the baby play with the python?

What a controversial thing to do. I would never put a baby around a large snake like that just to prove a point.

I'm petrified of snakes but made myself watch that. My goodness what the hell is he thinking? Yes, the snake is behaving because he's right there in case anything happens. What if that snake gets out and he's not there! Idiot is an understatement. *shudders*
