If a child is failing in school, who's fault is it? The teachers? The parents? The kid? Bad influences?

Parents and Kid.

The teachers will teach no matter what, but if the kid refuses to learn and the parents do nothing about it, it's their own faults.

It can be the teacher's fault as well. Certainly with classes you need to understand like science and math classes.

All of the above

Not the teacher, and if its the parents fault then that's the same thing as a bad influence.

Ultimately, its not really the parents fault, but if the parents don't instill the idea that good grades are necessary for success, then the kid will never push themselves because of the lack of expectations.

all of the above. the teacher can't teach, the student doesn't want to learn and/or probably cannot learn from what the teacher is teaching because like I said earlier the teacher can't teach

I still believe that unless a teacher just chooses to grade mercilessly, the student, if he/she tries will be able to receive an A in that class.

I've taken Pre-AP and AP classes throughout high school and I've had terrible teachers, many that grade pretty harshly. I still have a cumulative 4.0gpa. If we are considering C or higher as good grades then if the student is willing, they will be able to receive that grade (outside of severe familial problems).

I don't know about your high school, but some did that in mine. And you're wrong, there have been numerous occasions that I flunked because of the teacher.

Depends on what the situation is. If a kid is not academic then neither.

Can't be the teachers, just ask the Unions. Can't be the kids, just ask the child psychologists. Can't be the parents, just ask them.....

Has to be George Bush's fault, just ask anybody.

It's usually the kid's fault, but not if they have a learning disability and don't understand the material no matter how it's presented to them. If the child is failing because they're lazy and haven't worked hard enough, then it's their fault. Nobody else's.

It's good to see that you're open minded, I make decent grades but generally whenever they slip it's because of faulty teaching, there was one teacher that made me sick, she handed us a fifty-page worksheet to use to study over the weekend for the exam and we had to get it done or we wouldn't get the correct answers on Monday, but the worksheet was worth absolutely nothing, and whenever we finally got the exam, it only focused on like one or two of those fifty pages so we cluttered our minds with all of those sheets and potentially missed studying on what was on the test, add that and the fact we also had to study for the other exams, that bitch.
