Well, i know a young women has alopecia and lost all her hair due to autoimmune issues. Very devastating but is handling it with wigs and such. But I am sure it would be upsetting

Kind of glad for "the Slap" at the Oscars. It did bring some attention to female alopecia. I mean chemo patients lose their hair, but it comes back. And even for them them it is quite devastating despite it being temporary. But for those with alopecia totalis or universalis, there really are no treatments and it is a lifetime of dealing with that. There are some new treatments such as JAK inhibitors such as Xeljanz, but those are very powerful immunosuppresants with a lot of side effects. And they can work but if you stop taking these drugs, you generally lose your hair. So those with this condition don't have a lot of good options. And human hair wigs costs thousands of dollars.
