Balloon Boy Dad Heading to Jail

A man who pleaded guilty to perpetrating a hoax by saying his 6-year-old son was drifting over Colorado in a balloon began his jail sentence Monday.



Glad he's heading to the slammer if he tried to pull this off if it was truly a hoax.

That's wierd, he was on larry king and he was saying that it wasn't a hoax.



I personally think that all of this hoax stuff is just stupid, Why does he need to go to jail? he didn't hurt or steal or do anything bad he just wanted to get on tv that he would pretend for something to happen. I just think all of this is just stupid.



The dad is such a jerk but he's also a total babe. : P

They did admit to it. They wanted to land their own reality show.



I seen this on the news a while back. I think the mom and dad got like a month or two each or something and set their jail sentences apart from each other so there will be someone around to take care of the kids.

Seems fair to me.

They had loads emergency services going after this balloon. And he knew full well there wasnt anyone inside it. A complete waste of time for the emergency services, when they could have been helping at a real emergency!



They both deserve whatever they got.

I agree completely, this man is sick, pretending his son is in a balloon just so he can land a reality show. The things people do to get on TV these days...
