Bank Robber Locked Out

DAVIS, CA - A Davis bank robbery suspect apparently didn't help her case by locking her keys in her getaway car Wednesday.



Davis Police Department Lt. Thomas Waltz said officers responding to a robbery at the Union Bank in downtown Davis found Laura Jane Murray, 48, trying to break the window of her locked car to get her keys.



Murray is suspected as having gone into the bank at 300 E Street at 1:15 p.m. and handing a note to a teller demanding money, Waltz said. The teller gave Murray the money and she left on foot.



Murray was booked into Yolo County Jail for robbery, Waltz said. She was also served with a $35,000 arrest warrant issued by the Butte County Sheriff's Department for an armed robbery in Oroville.



There were no weapons used in the Davis robbery and no injuries, Waltz said.
