Bathroom or Restroom?

Do you say Bathroom or Restroom? (Both)

I say both. Bathroom = home/families; restroom = public facility.

I say bathroom.. If I am talking to someone who is older or trying to be respectful I will say restroom. Or I will just say Excuse me, I will be right back.

I call it a bathroom most of the time, don't call it anything else I don't think.

I say restroom if that's what it says on the door.

Otherwise I say bathroom if I'm trying to be polite, or the 'please excuse me' room.



To everyone else, I refer to it as the toilet, or the loo.

We don't have indoor plumbing in Kentucky, so I always say I have to use the outhouse....

I always say bathroom. There's one teacher - he was my history teacher last year - who we have to say restroom to him. We'll say bathroom, and he'll ask us if there's a bath in it or something.

And I think those are supposed to be cap sleeves--which no one has worn since the early 70's.

Why do people always think there is a moon cutout on the door of an outhouse?

I've never seen a moon cutout on the door of an outhouse...
