Are you afraid of them? Have you ever seen one?

They sure are interesting little creatures.

I've never seen one outside of the botanic gardens or a zoo or whatever. They look really ugly up close but from afar they don't look like much either.

When I was little I used to think they would suck my blood like a vampire.

I love bats. I think they are amazing, cute lil things

When I was 8, I was on holiday in the Isle of Wight and I went to some house that my family were looking around, a tourist attraction. And the security guard there, he had a little bat in his hand. He said that the bat had flown into the building and knocked himself out

But he was ok, they guy was taking care of him.

After that I loved bats. I've seen em flying about a few times since, in my home town.

I've seen them lots.

Last summer some friends came down from Indianapolis and we went to a place where bats lived. It was right at night fall and the bats were starting to wake up and fly off. She held her digital camera up to get a pic, and one of the bats crapped right on her arm--she threw down that camera and broke it.

Her husband and my son still laugh about her expression and language.
