A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that beeper used to make me smile.
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make that pager dance
And, maybe, it'd be happy for a while.
But that pager made me shiver
With every beep it did deliver.
Bad news on the doorstep;
I couldnât take one more step.
I canât remember if I cried
When I found there were no more beeps inside,
But something touched me deep inside
The day my pager died.

I had one for work a couple years ago.. Then they decided to give us all cell phones. But we cant take the cell phones home or make any calls on them unless its an emergency or to another person who works for the district.
I think they have a tracking / GPS device in them so I dont take it with me when I go to lunch.
The pager was annoying though as it constantly beeped with stupid new headlines / weather updates from the service provider. I could not figure out how to turn it off.
