What a good little NAZI that police chief will make.

Police in Beloit are launching a new effort to reduce gun violence in which they're asking city residents to volunteer to have police search their homes for guns.

Police Chief Norm Jacobs said he doesn't expect the phone to be ringing off the hook with requests for police to search their homes. He nevertheless hopes the program will encourage people to think about gun violence as an infectious disease like Ebola, and a home inspection like a vaccine to help build up the city's immune system.

And then we have our next future NAZI enforcer here. The Brown Coats Obama always dreamed of having.

Police Chief Wants You To Turn In Gun Enthusiasts: “We Might Want To Vet These People”

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo has asked residents of his city to keep an eye on neighbors and family members after Larry Steven McQuilliams went on a shooting spree through the Texas Capitol last week.

McQuilliams, who held some extreme views and was reportedly targeting as many as 30 people, has been described by local police as a "homegrown extremist."

In response to the shooting Acevedo has called on the Austin community to keep a watchful eye on people they know and to report any suspicious behavior to the police so that individuals, especially gun owners, can be vetted.

There are assuredly dangerous individuals in our society who have no qualms about killing innocent people, but could Acevedo's request to citizens to say something if they see something be opening a Pandora's box of government surveillance? http://freedomoutpost.com/2014/12/police-chief-wants-turn-gun-enthusiasts-might-want-vet-people/

Is it just me or do I see a lawsuit in Beloit, Wisconsin's future? :|

I mean, I know this is just a PR stunt, but are the police dumb? Do they realize that, inevitably, some people will actually volunteer to be searched and not have guns (who would volunteer if they do?) and it will simply waste their time? Some police forces don't help themselves...

And this is Wisconsin.

NOT California or The People's Republic of Oregon or someplace.

I wouldn't be too sure....outside of Madison, definitely not the People's Republic. Inside of Madison, the opposite.

why would you want your house searched for guns?.....and would they charge you if they found one?

stupid

And what else will they make note of while walking through?

Perhaps you don't have a "low flow shower head" or maybe you don't use twisty light bulbs?

Or, God Forbid, you were smoking a cigarette with a minor in the house?
