So what country would you live in if you could choose, and why? Please list the reasons! Don't say USA because I live there.

My personal choice would be Canada. (Even though it is where I live. Here's why:

- Low crime rates compared to many other countries.

- Free health care. Amazing to have.

- Nice wages and plenty of chances of a good education, and career. Very strong economy.

- Tolerance and secularism towards races/religions.

I didn't pick USA because of the very fast increasing unemployment rate and debt. Opportunity is still high, it'd be top 5.

Your choice?

I would say Canada as well. In terms of climate it's completely opposite to Australia, so I would like to experience something different, and your points give me more reasons to choose Canada.

Of course I love Australia and have no intention of living abroad for an extended period of time, but if everyone's choosing the country they live in then there is no point answering the question!

Scandinavia, probably Sweden... It's rich, has great social security and it's very beautiful.

I'd stay where I am. Despite the fact that the UK has it's faults. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else

But also this

I don't want to move to any place that speaks a language I don't already speak

I'd like to move to either Australia, Ireland or Wales. Mostly because they have beautiful scenery and I think things in them are better than what's happening in Scotland (i.e. community). However, I do know that Australia has had bushfires in the past and Ireland had economic problems

I like where I am. The U.S is a melting pot. There's so much diversity that It's like you get the best of all worlds. I like our democratic system and system of checks and balances so no one branch gets too powerful. My parents came to the U.S from the Caribbean and couldn't read or write English. Because of the opportunities they were able to make a good living. I don't see this happening anywhere else.

I have friends in Canada and I wouldn't mind seeing it firsthand, it seems like a good place to live. Although I'm kinda skeptical of the nationalized health care system. I guess it works in Canada, I couldn't really see it working well in the U.S.
