(The Guardian) White House denies NYT report that Biden is weighing whether to stay in race
The White House is pushing back against a new New York Times report that Joe Biden allegedly told a key ally that he is weighing whether to stay in the presidential race.

On Wednesday, the New York Times reported an anonymous source saying of Biden, “He knows if he has two more events like that, we’re in a different place,” referring to last week’s presidential debate in which Biden did poorly.

Biden has several public appearances scheduled for the coming days, including an ABC News interview and campaign events in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, the outlet reports.

In response, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates took to X, posting publicly: “That claim is absolutely false. If the New York Times had provided us with more than 7 minutes to comment we would have told them so.”
Biden privately acknowledged critical next steps in reelection bid - CNN
Joe Biden has privately acknowledged how critical the next few days are to his presidential re-election bid, CNN reports.

According to the outlet citing an anonymous source, Biden “sees the moment, he’s clear-eyed.”

“The polls are plummeting, the fundraising is drying up, and the interviews are going badly. He’s not oblivious,” the source said, adding that Biden allegedly said in a private conversation on Tuesday, “I have done way too much foreign policy.”

Biden allegedly also said in the private conversation that he “blamed himself” and was “chastened” after last week’s presidential debate which saw him stumble repeatedly amid a lackluster performance.
Dozens of House Democrats consider signing letter to urge Biden to withdraw - Bloomberg
Dozens of House Democrats are considering signing a letter in calls for Joe Biden to withdraw from the presidential race, Bloomberg reports, citing a ‘senior party official.’

According to the source, Democrats currently running for reelection in “traditionally safe Democratic districts are circulating the letter.”

Increasing internal pressure and disappointment from Democratic donors and lawmakers have been mounting against Biden and his campaign team after the president’s lackluster performance at last week’s presidential debate.

Bloomberg’s report follows New York Times’ report from this morning on Biden allegedly telling a key ally that he is weighing whether to remain in the race.

The White House has denied the report, calling it “false.”

Sadly, I suspect that Trump has won already. Looks like another win for the dark side.

(The Guardian) Biden: 'No one is pushing me out... I'm not leaving'
Joe Biden vowed to stay in the presidential race and continue his reelection bid, telling his staffers, “No one is pushing me out,” according to multiple reports.

In a call on Wednesday following his lackluster performance during last week’s presidential debate and amid growing panic from Democratic donors and lawmakers, Biden said: “Let me say this as clearly as possibly can, as simply and straightforward as I can: I am running.”

Biden went on to add: “No one is pushing me out… I’m not leaving. I’m in this race to the end and we’re going to win.”

In the same call, vice-president Kamala Harris – whose name has been increasingly floated around as Biden’s replacement – continued to voice her support for Biden, with reports of her saying: “We will not back down. We will follow our president’s lead. We will fight and we will win. Joe Biden has devoted his life to fighting for the people of our country. In this moment, I know all of us are ready to fight for him.”

Hes not going to win, though.

I think during the Covid crisis, people flocked to Biden thinking he could do 100% better than Trump. But when it became apparent that he wasn't living up to those standards, people are going back to Trump because Biden isn't doing what people want him to do. The things working against Biden are the mass inflation, stupidly high gas prices, unfair utility rates, the immigration crisis, him exhibiting symptoms of dementia in interviews on live television, stuttering, promoting overpriced electric cars no one wants, him restarting construction on Trump's wall. Him resuming construction on the wall after stating that it didn't work just made him look even more incompetent. All of these little boos boos that Biden has made has suddenly tipped things back into Trump's favor. I think it's over for Biden.

(American Family News) Biden vows 'no one pushing me out' but President Harris could happen anyway
-Heading into a long Independence Day weekend, the nation that turns 248 years old tomorrow could watch its 81-year-old president deliver a final speech, and step down from office, before people return to work Monday.

That scenario, which was unthinkable a week ago, remains unlikely only because President Biden stubbornly refuses to step down, but it has become much more possible after Democrat politicians, party donors, and the liberal news media turned on Biden after his disastrous presidential debate with Donald Trump. “This was a game-changing debate,” CNN’s John King told fellow panelists, “in the sense that right now, as we speak, there is a deep, a wide and a very aggressive panic in the Democratic Party.”

That “aggressive panic” is likely the reason for a leaked internal poll that shows Biden getting crushed by Trump even in swing states, and why Democrat governors gathered for a post-debate conference call to express their concerns about Biden’s future. Minnesota’s governor, Tim Walz, arranged for that conference call, CNN reported.

With the political knives out for Biden, the liberal news media is now publishing stories about Vice President Kamala Harris becoming commander in chief, such as a CNN story that points out she polls better against Trump than Biden.

Drudge Report, the popular news aggregate website, has linked to more than two dozen news stories since the debate that bash Biden, describe the internal political fight, and prop up Harris as his replacement. Reuters, the foreign wire service, published a story Wednesday suggesting Harris is the “top alternative” to replace Biden if he steps down. The story quotes seven “senior sources” in the Biden campaign, the White House, and the Democratic National Committee.

Harris has the highest name recognition and the best polling numbers among other possible names, the story said.

This week, in a Tuesday story, The Washington Post reported Barack Obama was growing concerned over Biden’s chances to defeat Trump. That not-so-subtle message in the liberal newspaper came after the former president had called Biden’s debate performance a “bad night” but predicted he could still win. In a story Wednesday, The New York Times reported President Biden is seriously considering whether he can continue on as the Democrat presidential nominee. He reportedly told an unnamed "key ally" he realizes his re-election chances are bad if he cannot voters he is healthy enough to continue a second term.

(The Guardian) Massachusetts governor on Biden: 'I urge him to … carefully evaluate whether he remains our best hope'
Massachusetts’ governor, Maura Healey, has released a statement on Joe Biden, saying that she urges him to “listen to the American people and carefully evaluate whether he remains our best hope to defeat Donald Trump”.

On Friday, Healey, one of Biden’s top surrogates, said: President Biden saved our democracy in 2020 and has done an outstanding job over the last four years. I am deeply grateful for his leadership. And I know he agrees this is the most important election of our lifetimes … The best way forward right now is a decision for the president to make. Over the coming days, I urge him to listen to the American people and carefully evaluate whether he remains our best hope to defeat Donald Trump.

Whatever president Biden decides, I am committed to doing everything in my power to defeat Donald Trump.

Healey’s public statement follows previous reports of the governor strongly speaking out against Biden’s re-election bid.

Earlier this week, the New York Times reported that although Healey did not speak during Wednesday’s meeting between Biden and several Democratic governors, Healey did say in a separate call with other governors that she had told White House chief of staff Jeff Zients that Biden’s political position was “irretrievable” following his poor debate performance.
