Owls are my favorite, but I have to give a special shout out to cockatiels. When I was in high school, my study hall teacher had two cockatiels in the classroom. I never found out if he taught other things that the birds helped with, or if he simply had them for aesthetics and to help relax everyone, but they were the show stoppers. All the kids loved to see them, and sometimes the teacher would let them fly around the classroom. This was my first close up encounter with birds, and it will always be one of my very few favorite memories from school.
