Yes I was bit buy a seagull, posted about that here.

Been bit buy dogs I was teasing when I was little (I deserved it).

Been bit by other various pets we've had over the years (birds, rats, rabbits, hamsters, etc).

None of them were ever too serious though.

I was bitten by a grey squirrel.
It was a 'sort of' tame squirrel, but it took a hunk out of my ring finger (inside, middle joint) because I was trying to sneak up & put a paper bag over it; & almost did. I ditched that idea pretty quick. I was about 9 years old, still have the scar.

I've been bitten by a few dogs causing me to have a phobia of dogs.

I've also been bitten by a few parrots which is part of the territory when you deal with exotic birds. My girlfriend's sun conure can bite pretty hard when he's excited.

How bad? I have a still have a scar on my leg from a dog bite that I got like 25 or 30 years ago. That was a really bad bite. Still love dogs though. Not all of them will do that to you.

I get really nervous, anxious, or irritated around them. The bigger ones just make me want to scoot into a corner.

They can sense that too, so even if you come across a friendly dog, they'll pick up on the vibes you're giving off and probably wont be so friendly.

Apart from scorpion and mosquitoes, I haven't been bitten by any other animals. My dogs nor my grandma's cats never bit me.

Why did they bite you?
Probably either I was messing with them in a way they didn't like or it was an accident. In fact, a few days ago my younger cat bit the back of my calf while I was sleeping. It happened around 4 AM and he bit so hard it went through the covers and pierced the skin. Not entirely sure why he did it, but I yelped and he jumped off the bed. Maybe he thought there was something fun wiggling around under there?

Did it hurt?
Hell yes.

A bit each time it's happened.

It's best to understand what your animals are capable of instead of being surprised when something like that happens. Things go much smoother where there's an understanding.

Yeah I was surprised the first time (when I was a little kid) but then after that I knew it was my fault when it happened.
