Good for her for having common sense, bravery and a brain on her head.

Her point is simple- no matter how the government defines what the flag means she has the right to carry it and defy government tyranny.

See the video here.

A black woman who proudly waves the Confederate battle flag because it “represents freedom” also believes that “slavery was a choice.”

This woman is either deluded or uneducated or perhaps both. The fact that she thinks slavery was a choice and the Confederate battle flag represents freedom says volumes about her mental state. The fact is that if you're born into an "institution" as many slaves were you're conditioned to accept the hardships and injustices of that institution. Many slaves jumped overboard on the trip to the Americas and died. Shackling them below deck stopped that from re-occurring. Doesn't sound to me that those shackled slaves had any choice. It's really sad that this woman doesn't know her history and downplays the horrendous nature of slavery and the true meaning of the Confederate battle flag. If it represents freedom according to this woman, why is there a movement going on to take it down and remove all traces of it?

Just to refresh everyone's memories, we're talking about the official national flag that was used to represent the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. You know, that awkward time period when the South was vehemently fighting to keep slavery around as a means of economic prosperity for white plantation owners.

So, yeah, this woman is either deluded or uneducated or perhaps both.

I knew someone was not going to understand what she was saying and specifically the part about slavery being a choice. She is far from deluded or uneducated.

Agreed.... *looks over towards Liberty* ...some history you're defending, huh?

To quote TL in his OP:
Good for her for having common sense, bravery and a brain on her head.

Excuse me: Doesn't the brain belong INSIDE the head? No wonder she's so delusional.

But yet she is still correct.
Someone should remind her that had the South - God forbid - won the Civil War, odds are she'd still be in chains, to borrow Crazy Uncle Nebulous's infamous 2012 quote...

No where in the video is she endorsing slavery, but as I see in the comments her points went right past people.

She's got a Confederate flag that treasonous rag w/her, that's enough of an endorsement.

It means different things for different people just like saying the American flag is treasonous since they separated from Britain.
Good luck finding anyone in Britain who'd say something like that....go on, Liberty, we'll wait.
