It happened to me and quite frankly I thought it was funny. My friend and I got banned for no dang reason other than being guilty by association. I went to look at the forum as a quest and got the message: Your IP address has been blacklisted.

Seriously? Being banned is one thing but do they really think you are going to make multiple accounts and come back to troll them or something?
Anyways, blacklisting or blocking IP address's is pointless. There is millions of proxy sites out there and some people can get a new IP by just unplugging their modem for a minute then plugging it back in.

I'm dead serious and have no idea why they would go and do that to me. They must be paranoid or think I might try to recruit members. Little do they know once I'm done, I'm done and want nothing more to do with a forum like this.
After my old forum, Chatting Time, was hacked, I was banned on Forum Promotion, but that was because my account on there was hacked as well. Someone posted under my thing and as a result, I ended up getting banned. It was all straightened out in the end, though.

The closest I can think of is the following. There was a forum that I wanted to visit, but that I couldn't access though everyone else seemed to be able to. I was not a member of this forum before trying to visit, and I didn't know the administrator or anyone else there. Also, the administrator shared my confusion, and assured me that he placed no block on an IP or anything else. I was so curious about the problem, in any case, that I tried a proxy, and I was able to access the site. Anyways, I believe the administrator of that forum, but this is one of the strangest Internet problems I've had.
