Monday on TV One, a cable channel who's programming is geared for African-American adults, first lady Michelle Obama told Roland Martin the candidate on the ballot and what they say or do should not matter to African-Americans because voting for a straight Democratic ticket best serves their communities.

The first lady said, "Thats my message to voters, this isn't about Barack, It's not about person on that ballot, its about you, and for most of the people we are talking to, a Democratic ticket is the clear ticket that we should be voting on regardless of who said what or did this, that shouldn't even come into the equation."

During a speech Wednesday at the Unite For Veterans Summit in Los Angeles, First Lady Michelle Obama had a slip of the tongue guaranteed to make young children (and some adults) giggle.

While telling a story of a soldier who served in Afghanistan, she stumbled a bit.

“There’s this soldier that we met just a month ago who was caught in a fire fart–fight in Afghanistan,” Obama said at the event, which addressed the plight of homeless veterans.

This is a Wookie:

They are skilled with weapons, some can fly spaceships, they are reasonably self sufficient and able to help themselves and others out of dire situations.


This is a flaming liberal blabbermouth:

They have no known skills, are vocally against all use of weapons except to defend them and their causes, live off of the backs of others, and are more likely to cause the dire situation than help anybody out of it.

There may be some similarities in their personal hygiene habits, and the sound they make when annoyed, but other than that, you should be able to tell the difference easily.

.Pfft..I'd still say it; I'd also add, "Gee, Mr. President, thanks for costing us Congress, you (insert expletive of choice here)...." Trust me when I say there are a lot of upset progressives & liberals out there who really feel as though the Democratic leadership - at all levels - royally screwed us over, from DWS over at the DNC to both Democratic Party Congressional Campaign committees (the DCCC & DSCC), who couldn't figure out winning strategies if it bit 'em right in the ass.

Apologies for the mini-rant there, but I, for one, cannot wait for 2016 soon enough...and I say that as a progressive, ladies & gentlemen.
