With the other videos doing there rounds here about police shooting I came across this one that I found interesting for a number of reasons.

I know I'm going to catch all kinds of shit for saying this, but I watched this video 5 times in slow motion. I don't see the guy point anything at the officer. I see him run, drop something, struggle to pick it up, and in the last frame that shows him actually grabbing what was on the ground, he turns away.

I'm not saying this wasn't a good shoot. Officer had every reason to do so. It's just that I keep reading different articles the guy pointed a gun at the officer but I don't see that actually happen in the video. Do you?

Well I do see what you seeing but the officer did see the gun earlier and hear the threat so he did have every reason to think he was possibly in danger here.

I was just trying to point out that the title of the thread and title of the video:
"Body Cam Captures Muskogee Police Officer Fatally Shooting Armed Man Outside Of Church" is misleading to say the least. The pastor called the cops and identified the guy. He'd been threatening to kill his girlfriend inside of the church and told her he had a gun. So basically, no one actually saw a gun. No one there and no one watching this video either.

Something spooky happening my end:run2:
I can see it now :shy:

Well the guy did have a gun, he did drop it and pick it up but it's at this point that I am not sure wether the cop need to start shooting because the guy turned and started to run away, he did not as far as I can see point the gun at the cop, having said that the cop was in a highly stressful situation and in a perfect world maybe he could have held back from shooting a bit longer to be sure what the guy was going to do but who can say they could have really done any better in this situation?

Well I must agree with @Stuarth, here are a few still captures

So here he has picked up whatever it was !

So now if it is a gun what to say he might not turn around and use it at anytime
