Borrowing Money, Work Time, and Resources from Certain People - Wise Idea?

I wouldn't do it. In fact, I'd rather borrow even from a high interest loan place.

The reason I say this is because it often causes a situation where the other person thinks you owe them something. That can be very dangerous, so, for instance, I'd avoid letting someone use your vehicle, buy your car parts etc.

Note: I can see why someone might fall into this trap, though. It's tough on certain people are there are few options.
 
I never borrow money. People tend to get aggravated or charge you some kind of personal interest when you take from them. It's more trouble than it is worth, so I just avoid it at all costs and make my own money.
 
I don't borrow money or labor worth money without serious thought and I don't get into situations that accidentally lead into it.

In my personal situation, this alpha male jock type got upset because a car I loaned him had breaks and tires that went down. He had to fix it and was complaining about me owing him stuff when he was using my vehicle for free
