Hey Off Topixers,

I'd like to brainstorm with you about some good value and quality ideas for creating a new English forum. I'm pretty sure I will be able with some help to make it take off successfully once I have a main goal for it but I need some recommendations from you. What idea do you think will attract people and be a good source for discussion?

I say love relationships talks may do it. What are your ideas? Please be variable as much as you can.

In my opinion, a forum should be created about something you are passionate and knowledgeable about it. For example, I am passionate and knowledgeable regarding animals. If I were to create a forum (which I'm not), it would be an animal related forum. Only you know what subjects/topics you are passionate and knowledge about.

Sorry, I know I wasn't much help here.

I understand that it must be something I can talk about, but I am still asking you guys to recommend some ideas that I might be passionate about as well.

What about a Football/Soccer forum? I'm sure there are plenty of people who play and watch the sport.

:yeahthat: If you have no passions or interests, you could create a general discussion forum but those are really hard to get off the ground, since there is so many of them. Niche based forums seem to do better with less work, assuming you can find people with similar interests.

Exactly, that's why I am searching for quality ideas.

I think making a forum based on a certain show or video game could work depending how popular it is.

Unfortunately, everything I am either passionate or knowledgeable about are either 'off limits' or nobody else has even heard of.

Thats my problem as well. But I still have some ideas that people may like like gaming forums or so.

Yeah I am also thinking about that, but not still sure what game will attract people since there are many well-established forums over the internet that already have many people over it like unofficial battlefield 4 forums which would make the challenge for me harder and harder.
