Good day old chap. ‘Tis a fine time to be from old Blighty.

This means: Hello friend. It’s a good time to be British.

That’s because a survey recently found the British accent to be the most attractive in the world.

The British twang beat out American, Irish and Italian to get the top spot, while French – an accent often associated with seduction – was found to be only the fifth most attractive accent.

The Time Out Global Dating Survey came to these conclusions by surveying 11,000 people in 24 cities.

Not a very large survey of people.

Any way, do you agree with the survey result? If not, what accent do you find to be the most attractive?

I loved British accents, but I also loved others too.

maybe, but not for me...

This.

I love the Somali accent on the right person. Which makes sense, though my wife's is very, very weak.
A good Sri Lankan or Pakistani accent is nice too - just a subtle one.

I'm so not into British.

Some of my favorites:

British
Southern
Italian
New England (Boston accent)

Fuck no, it sounds horrendous. Honestly, the best accent is "neutral" accent - As in, having no accent at all or at least very minimal. But it's far better than the Aussie one I guess.

As a Brit I feel I have to agree out of obligation, lol, but I think the Irish, Welsh, Scottish, even the Norse accents are all better than English accents.

(also British is misleading, considering the countries and regions within Britain)

The amount of different accents in Britain only kinda contradicts the stereotype of British accent is best :P

Go to London and then to Leeds or Manchester (which can be the distance of less then 1 state in America) and tell me there is just a 'British' accent :P

Then go-to Cornwall, lol
