What are your thoughts of forum owners paying individuals to post on their site?



In addition, if you're a forum owner, what were your experiences with buying posts? Did it benefit your community? If so, how? If not, what was your experience like?

Never bought posts. Seems like a waste of my hard earned money.



Also if you are paying for posts I'd imagine you aren't going to be satisfied with everything they are posting. After all, you are paying these people... you should get your moneys worth!! They need to be able to read your mind and make only posts you deem suitable 100% of the time. Otherwise you are going to be disappointed and will be conflicting with them.

The whole point of forums was to meet people not buy people off to pretend like they actually joined your forum to meet people and discuss things that interest them. It sounds like the world of forums is a pretty sad place if people would actually consider wasting their money buying posts when they should be getting them from their members because they enjoy the place and the other people who go there. In other words, I would never even remotely consider buying posts from anyone.
